Q: Are all of your classes American Heart Association (AHA) approved?
A: Yes! All of GBAC’s CPR and First Aid classes are AHA approved and taught by AHA Instructors.
Q: When will I receive my CPR or First Aid e-Card?
A: You will receive your AHA e-Card within 7-10 days upon completion of the course. Temporary certificates will be available, should you require one. Effective August 1, 2017, GBAC will issue all course completion cards via the AHA e-Card system. Once your card is ready, you will receive an e-mail directly from AHA asking you to “Claim your AHA e-Card”. No, this is NOT junk mail – this is YOUR e-Card! Some e-mail providers send these e-mails to Spam or Junk Mail folders so please check those. If you have not received your card within 2 weeks, please contact us so we can check the status.
Q: How long is my AHA e-Card valid for?
A: All AHA e-Cards, regardless of the course taken, are valid for 2 years except for the Heartsaver Bloodborne course, which is valid for 1 year.
Q: Do I have to register ahead of time for a class?
A: Yes, you must register prior to the class starting in order to attend the class.
Q: What if I need an AHA card now?
A: Please contact us ASAP, so we can arrange an immediate class for you.
Q: What do I need to complete before class?
A: Nothing! Just arrive to class 10 minutes early, and wear comfortable clothes. Feel free to bring a snack as well.

Q: I am interested in becoming a CPR instructor. How can I find out more information?
A: GBAC currently offers CPR instructor courses twice a year . To find out more information, go to the classes section, under CPR Instructor course.
Q: I’ve seen online courses in CPR that are more convenient for me. What are the advantages of taking a course in a classroom?
A: While online courses may provide the same basic concepts as an in-class course, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) is a motor skill, not a cognitive skill, that requires practice and repetition in order to learn effective techniques. Also, many employers will not accept online-only training. With GBAC, the majority of your class time is spent practicing on manikins or participating in real life scenarios. Our instructors are there to help you with technique, answer any questions you might have, and most importantly, customize the class to your needs.
Q: Do you provide off-site classes?
A: Yes – we will travel to your workplace for as few as five people. We are happy to customize the training to your needs. Visit our group request page.
Q: Does GBAC teach to the new CPR protocol?
A: Yes! In early 2016, new changes were made in how CPR and First Aid is taught. GBAC is proud to say we are ALWAYS current with any new AHA training guidelines.
